What we offer:
Free field trips to coastal facilities in the blue economy along with USM spaces dedicated to training students for these technical careers, complete with demonstrations and question/answer sessions with scientists and engineers.
Paid summer internships for high school students.
Professional development events with CEU credits.
GenSea is a collaborative effort at the University of Southern Mississippi to introduce students to the vast career opportunities in our coastal corridor, led by the Center for STEM Education and the School of Ocean Science and Engineering and supported generously by the Robert M. Hearin Support Foundation.
